Dear Friends of NBT,

Thoughts from God’s Word
Jeremiah 9:23-24, “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.”

These verses start with what God says and end with what He delights in. I desire to stay within those two phrases! According to these verses, there is no room for pride in one’s life or ministry. When you think about these verses, nothing can be more rational than acknowledging the Source of all our blessings! Matthew Henry said of these verses, “In this world of sin and sorrow, ending soon in death and judgment, how foolish for men to glory in their knowledge, health, strength, riches, or in any thing which leaves them under the dominion of sin and the wrath of God! And of which an account must hereafter be rendered; it will but increase their misery.”

I share these verses and thoughts with you because our desire at Bible Time is to do all for God’s glory, giving Him the praise and honor for all that is accomplished.

Ministry Update
November was a busy month at NBT as we worked on preparing all of the material for the 2014 evangelistic campaign. Every item that will be sent out or given out over the summer is carefully reviewed and updated. Our materials are designed and prepared to exalt Christ and immerse children and teens in the Word of God.

We are also finalizing the details for our ministry for the summer. NBT is fun with a purpose. The children and teens bring the energy and fun and we as a staff carefully make sure the purpose does not get lost in the enthusiasm. Every minute of the rally is carefully thought to exalt Christ as the answer for every area of each person’s life. Our prayer is that through a week of NBT a person will see their need for Christ. Please join us in praying over these details.

During November we finished our first round of recruiting at various Bible colleges. We are busy sorting through each application and are praying for wisdom as we choose the team for 2014. We would like to have at least 20 men committed to travel by the end of Christmas break.

In addition, we are busy encouraging churches to host an NBT youth rally at their church this summer.

Pray Requests

  • Recruiting of the evangelists

  • Finding the proper office help for the summer

  • Ministering Internationally – please pray for wisdom about the places we should go and the teams that we should send

  • Financial Provision for the needs of the ministry

NBT relies on the support of individuals and churches. As the 2013 comes to a conclusion, would you prayerfully consider supporting NBT with a year-end gift? All gifts go toward the training of our evangelists and the launching of the 2014 evangelistic campaign, both here in the States as well as internationally.Donation instructions may be found at: nbtime.org/donations.html.

Thank you again for your continued prayers and support.

Sincerely,
Brother Koontz
